Dan Bolen Chairman and CEO

Dan was the founding organizer of Bank of Prairie Village in 2003 buying the charter that goes back to 1931. He has held the position of Chairman and CEO since forming the bank. With the opening of Bank of Prairie Village, Dan has been able to achieve his life long dream of running a community bank that puts the customers first.

Dan is a graduate from The University of Kansas where he was a Rhodes Scholar nominee. He also is a graduate from The University of Virginia Law School, and Georgetown University Law Center earning a dual LL. M (Taxation) and LL. M (Securities Regulation) graduate law degrees.

Dan has been active in community affairs throughout his career and currently serves, and has previously served on numerous Kansas City Charitable and Educational boards. Prior to entering banking, Dan was the General Counsel to the United States Senate Committee on Labor, Housing, Health and Urban Affairs as well as serving as the Legislative Director and General Counsel for United States Senator Nancy Landon Kassebaum where he also directly handled banking and securities issues for Senator Kassebaum before those Senate Committees. Dan is glad to be out of Washington (and the current political gridlock) and is more than thrilled instead to be a Prairie Village community Banker.
