FDIC Insurance

The Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC), an agency of the United States government protects deposits against loss if an FDIC-insured bank should fail. The insured deposit limit is loosely $250,000 as there are many instances in which additional insurance may be available to depositors based upon the ownership structure of the account.

Bank of Prairie Village is an FDIC-insurance bank heavily capitalized and conservatively invested, so you never have to worry about your funds on deposit with us, but if you have questions, here some readily available resources:

  1. Call us 913-713-0300. Our deposit experts are happy to walk through your relationship and provide advice and guidance (even on those relationships with other financial institutions).
  2. Visit the FDIC website where you can find resources and information as well as EDIE (Electronic Deposit Insurance Estimator). Plug your information into EDIE to receive a guestimate of your FDIC-insured status.
